Put On Christ

Every day we are faced with the daunting task of dress. For some, they are privileged (or cursed- as some might say) to wear a uniform daily, so it isn't an issue. For others, this may be one of the first decisions they make in the morning or one of the last they make the night before. Some enjoy coordinating outfits and plotting their wardrobes for the current work/school week. Others don't care one iota if they put on polka dots and pin stripes (haha! that made me laugh). I am (however) more interested in what the Bible says we should put on.

In Romans 13:14, it says "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof."

I don't know how many of us actually meditate on the important of 'putting on' Christ even before our daily vestitures. As servants of God, we represent more than our skin colors, our cultures, our financial/education statuses; we represent Christ, and the world is looking for the character of God in all who call themselves Christian.

But how do we 'put on Christ' anyway? Before we can find out how to do so, we first have to know what it means to put on Christ...(to be continued)
