Praise the LORD for blessing me and my husband with this day; our anniversary!


So much has happened in the last year and we are humbled and happy to have life, to have each other and our family all around us.

Happy 3/21

Another year, another 3/21 is here!

Today marks the anniversary of the first date with my now-wedded husband and the start of our courtship. Four years ago, we went on our first date and have been inseparable ever since. Despite the night not going as planned (with me "losing the restaurant", and the cold weather), it turned out a 1000% better, and it was as you say "the best date ever". Thank the Lord for bringing us together and keeping us together. Four years later, there's four times more love in our growing family and four times more fun! Praying for four more years, and then another four, and yet another four until time is no more.

Three Years!

Today marks my third anniversary! Three years ago my courtship started with the man I will soon marry. 

I still marvel at how God brought us together, but so thankful that now, just a few weeks before our union, we can look back and bask in all the many blessings of The LORD.

To my love, my darling, my future HOUSE-BAND Francisco, I pray we see many more anniversaries if The LORD should not return before. I love you, I pray for you and for us; happy anniversary again!

To everyone else, relish the precious moments you have with your family and friends. You never know when it may be the last anniversary, birthday or event you will spend with the ones you love.

Diet Reform Anniversary

Today is June 12th, and it's not just my cousin's birthday, but it's also my anniversary!

It is the sixth anniversary of being a vegetarian! That's right! Since my first mission trip in 2009, I challenged myself to eat more vegetarian which then turned into being vegetarian from that summer onwards.

I want to glorify The LORD in all that I do and in all that I put into this bodily temple, so this continues my journey into a healthier diet.

When I initially started to cut meat and animal products out of my diet, I immediately saw a change in my health. The biggest improvement has been seen in my blood results whenever I go for my physical check-ups. I recall one check up when my cholesterol was lower than average and the nurse got worried and said she couldn't read it! She didn't even know how to decipher it so she called for the doctor but he explained my numbers were perfect. :-) Yes, my blood testifies about my diet. 

Society sometimes concentrates so much on external beauty (facials, cleansers, make-up, enhancements, plastic surgery, etc), that it sometimes forget it is more important to concentrate on the internal health of the body. Ultimately, what you put into your body will come out (i.e. it will reveal itself physically).

I thank the LORD for keeping me and teaching me how to live life-after-meat, haha. I also praise HIM for I recall in scripture that the life is indeed in the blood and I have witnessed this in my own body. Is your blood testifying about your diet. Be sure even your blood and diet glorifies The LORD!

 

Milestone Weekend ~ March 21-22

It was quite a weekend! This weekend, we celebrated a birthday, an anniversary, and a wedding!

 

My dearest friend celebrated her birthday on Sunday. Happy birthday Keneisha; may our friendship continue to grow and flourish ( 19 years and counting!!!! can you believe it! )

 

My beloved fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend. We reminisced on our path to engagement and how amazing The LORD has been in leading us thus far. It's been a wonderful couple of years and I know we are looking forward to future anniversaries.

 

And last (but not least), it was the wedding of my friends Tamra and Clinton. It was such a blessing to be a part of their big day, and to have my sweetheart by my side (we were definitely taking notes!!). May the LORD bless and keep you both as you start this wonderful path together!

 

And if you didn't have an eventful weekend like I did, don't fret, as long as you have life, you have hope and joy. Make every day count. Have a wooooonderful week all!!!
