No Time! (An ode to 'Time')

An ode to 'Time'


The promise of a new day
Is sometimes tainted by our 'to do list'
No Time! No Time (we scream internally)
To wake
To sleep
To relax
To eat
To work.

Our best scheduling efforts
Fail.
Our many devices (that man has created
To help us manage time)
consume time themselves!
No Time! No Time!
To speak
To laugh
To study
To learn something new.

And yet
We all have the same amount of time.

The LORD has blessed us with exactly
24 hours
Each day
To wake
To sleep
To relax
To eat, work and speak
To laugh
To study
To learn something new.

Plenty of Time,
Plenty of Time;
But oh
Oh that time would slow down
some-times.
But since it won't
(and it doesn't)
Make 'your' 24-hours count.
Spend time
In study
With God first
Then with mankind;
Then
And only then
You will have time
Plenty of Time 
For everything else...

Got to run!!
