At The Cross (GYC Phoenix)

The GYC Conference in Phoenix just ended, but the effects of this convocation is still being felt.
GYC stands for the Generation of Youth for Christ, and is an Adventist grass-roots movement run by young adults passionate for Christ. This was my sixth GYC conference and the Spirit was just as present as my first.
This past conference was held in Phoenix, and the theme was 'At the Cross'. It was refreshing to be reminded of Christ's grrrrrrreeaat sacrifice at Calvary for mankind. The potent spiritual messages delivered by Pr. Adam Ramdin, Stephen Bohr, Davin Shin and the usual testimonials throughout the conference were all truly heavenly. All the seminar messages will be posted on the GYC website in the next few days, and the devotions and sermons are already on the YouTube channel for all to view.
With a theme so deep and vast, it made me think...
-How often do I ponder about the cross?
-How long and hard do I concentrate upon Jesus' humiliation?
-Do I spend time studying the themes around the cross?
-How about spending that 'thoughtful hour' on the closing scenes of His sacrifice.
Of course it is not enough just to think about Christ on the cross, but we should also think and thank Him for His intercession for us in the sanctuary. Praise God for His perfect sacrifice and His resurrection and work on our behalf! I was broken and encouraged; uplifted and spiritually equipped for this new year.
I have been charged; I have been charged to love more, give more, donate more and serve more. Because Christ gave sooooo much of Himself and His very being (His nature has forever been altered because of the cross) to save us, we must give all to serve Him.
I am staying at the cross this year (so help me God).
