Watch

This new year has brought with it a new U.S. president and new laws.


In the last few days, the country has been turned upside down by immigration laws that have forced many (on both sides) into confusion, anger, frustration and chaos. And I am certain this is just the start.


No matter what any administration does, The LORD GOD still has the final word on everything. This year may be a year of shock doctrines and surprising legislature, but I am reminded of some of The LORD's words in the Gospel of Mark.


In Mark, chapter 13, Jesus speaks about the importance of watching and praying especially in the last days. Here are the last verses of this chapter:


Verse (35) Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

(36) Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

(37) And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. 


The LORD has called us to be watchmen and watchwomen in this present time. As prophecy unravels before our very eyes, what are we doing? We should be watching, praying, studying, getting and staying ready for the things which will shortly come to pass on this earth. The time for sleeping has been over for years, our word for the year is 'watch' and don't just watch without action, get on your knees, pray and follow Christ in this spiritual battle. The battle will get hotter, but HE promises to never leave us nor forsake (and we already know who will win!!!!).
