What a year it has been....
January started with GYC-Phoenix and a charge to lead someone to Christ and to give sacrificially to the cause of Christ. Also, every January there is a '10 Days of Prayer' event that happens globally, so this year was no exception. I didn't know what the year held, but was knew who held the year and I was very hopeful it would be a good one!
February was a grrrreat month! Not only was it the month of my birth-island's independence (Saint Lucia!), I got engaged to the most wonderful, amazing, Christ-like man on earth {My love, Francisco} and our relationship went to the next level. We thank God for how He led us together and keeps us together even to this day! Let the wedding plans begin...
March was our anniversary month and the month we attended our first wedding together! Two of our dear friends tied the knot at the end of the month and we got some great ideas for our wedding ;-).
Francisco also got to share his testimony at an AY program in Brooklyn that was very well received.
April brought the Spring and my first invitation to speak at a "Preachfest". The topic for the year is "Unlimited Faith, Courage and Possibilities" and I shared a message on three Bible characters who exhibited unlimited faith, unlimited courage and unlimited possibilities.
July was the month of the General Conference session and the world-wide meeting of the Adventist family. Prior to that, the GC body encouraged the world to pray for the 100 days leading to this big meeting and I greatly enjoy when the world is called upon to unite in prayer!
July and August were also the months of the two mission trips I helped with; Pokot Mission in Kenya and GYC INTERmission in Manitoulin Island, Canada. We thank The LORD for how He blessed both trips and the lives that were changed for His Kingdom!
September is my birth month and had a wonderful birthday with the fiance and family. My home church also held its 100 Years Anniversary Weekend that month. To God be the Glory!!!
November is the month of Thanksgiving and there were quite a few things I was very thankful for (too numerous and too wonderful to name them all!!!). May we not just celebrate thanksgiving one day in one month but everyday!!
And December, the last month of the year brought about my second invitation to speak at the "Unlimited Faith, Courage, Possibilities" youth preachfest at Mt. Vernon SDA Church. It was also the month for more holidays, more family time, more togetherness, more planning for the Pokot Mission transition for the new year (we will be transitioning to "VUNA international") and a looking-forward to 2016.
There were also some engagements this year (yippee!!), some births, re-births (baptisms) and deaths in my church/friends' families this year. We got to celebrate with those who were added to the human family and mourn with those who lost loved ones {including Sis. Nelson, Bro. Raymond, Bro. Richard, Sis Williamson and Elder Hodgson}.
Yes the year was a very eventful one and I haven't even mentioned half of the things that took place, but praise God for life and more growth and reliance on HIM in 2016.
Let's move forward -->
Im soooo excited to see what 2016 holds for you and thy personal ministry as well as us our union and life together, Im eager to behold the changes that the Lord will make in us for both time and eternity. May the Lord continue to add blessings upon blessings as well as lessons upon lessons. Love you my Queen. " XVI. Rejoice evermore. XVII. Pray without ceasing. XVIII. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I Thessalonians V: XVI-XVIII
