Winter's Beauty

Goooood evening all!

Now that the storm is over, I hope you all have recovered from shoveling and/or playing in the many feet of snow you may have gotten (according to your area).

I am especially thankful that we didn't lose power during the storm. I pray your ordeal was not that strenuous.

I hope you don't mind me saying this, but there is nothing more beautiful than the after-storm stillness of nature! The birds and animals come out again, the air is clean, the snow forms a lovely blanket over the shrubs and trees, and everything is so peaceful and serene.

God never promised He would take away all our storms (although some times, He does), but He always protects us through the storm. Now I know there are some of you who lost power, had some damage to property, gotten into  vehicular accidents and the like, but scripture tells us in everything; e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g, we ought to give thanks (1 Thess 5:18). Now that is NOT easy in any way, especially when things don't go our way, so I believe it must be a heavenly mindset that helps us give thanks to God in any state we find ourselves.

Now that the storm is over, spend some time gazing at God's beautiful handiwork. It is a snowy work of art :-)

  1. Amen Love, There is a special beauty in the stilness of nature after a storm, seemingly Nature takes a sigh of relief, relaxes and then restores. I pray that I can heed scriptural admonition to be thankful in everything.
