Well Hello There!

Good afternoon and happy June to all!

I am back and ready to share with you all the wonderful updates from the last few months! Yours truly had a very wonderful wedding, with the warmest/loveliest  Spring day you could have ever imagined! It was rainy and cold for days on end before our wedding day, but Thank The LORD for showering His sunny rays of light upon our big day! It was so warm and gorgeous, we were able to have the outdoor wedding we always wanted! Our vacation spot afterwards was to the beautiful Myrtle Beach and it was just gorgeous each and every day. We are already planning to head back!!!

Life has been a continual blessing. Marriage is such a blessing and powerful ministry tool, I can't but marvel at how amazing it is! There is nothing better than being yoked with one who believes, worships and loves like you do. Don't get me wrong, we have our differences; but both our similarities and our differences make us stronger.

We have been studying different books of The Bible since April. We had started with the Book of Galatians, and for the last few weeks have completed Titus, Song of Solomon, and now we are on the Book of Esther. Stay tuned: will be sharing some thoughts about the Book of Esther and what we have studied so far.

I hope all has been well with you. In the last few months, there has been quite a few life changes for my friends/family: births, deaths, graduations, weddings and funerals. In all, life is still short, so make every day count and say/show love more while you still have life. God bless you all...

What A Time To Be Alive...

Perception is a very interesting thing.
By definition, perception means "the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses". According to who you speak to, one might see the proverbial glass as half full, and another sees the glass as half empty.
If you take a minute to look at the state of your home country, there will be some who will see nothing wrong with society, others who will see everything wrong, and yet others who can be found along both extremes
Everyone has something to say about the times we are living in. We are constantly bombarded by the happenings in our world via the media. Yesterday alone, the Supreme Court voted to uphold gay marriage and the funeral service of Rev. Clementa Pinckney (pastor of the Emanuel AME) was held after a young man heartlessly murdered him and 8 others at a bible study last week.

If you ask governmental leaders, celebrities, sports multi-millionaires, popular businessmen, famous clergy, and just about anyone who is in the public's eye, everyone has opinions on everything under the sun. Who do you listen to? Who do you believe? What do you believe? Do you think society is just going through a phase? That things will get better (perhaps with a new president)? Do you think things have gone too far and that these are the last days of earth's history?

It's no secret I am a Bible-believing Christian. I don't have time to listen to the opinions and thoughts of any and everyone. My standard is the Bible and before I have opinions about anything, I go to the LORD's book first. Too often many Christians have opinions and personal doctrines first and then go to the Bible to find supporting scripture when it should always be the other way around. The Bible should be our measuring rod; everything we believe should have its foundations in our faith and not in our feelings.

The Bible is clear about where we are in earth's history. It is no surprise why things are the way they are now. The Word is very clear that the world is headed for destruction, mankind will continue becoming more perverted, and even Church-going Christians will "have a form of godliness" but will lack God's power (2 Timothy 3:5).

I used to say often that this world will have to be polarized before The LORD's second coming. That the 'grey' area Christians will disappear, and everyone will ultimately be all-for-Christ or not-for-Christ. In the great war between good and evil, there are only two sides (no Switzerland). If it was time to sleep yesterday, you and I both know its high time to wake up, get girded with the whole armor of God and get ready...we are at war.
