Happy new year everyone!!!
A new year means different things to different individuals. It means new hopes, new dreams, perhaps a new career, new learning experiences, new lifestyle changes, new (fill in the blank with whatever else there is).
As we draw closer to the LORD's Second Coming, let's make sure some of our resolutions that are spiritually minded. This year, why not endeavor to:
1. Read the Bible in a year.
2. Study the four gospels.
3. Create simple bible studies to share with others.
4. Memorize a book of the Bible (or two!).
5. Spend more time in Bible Study.
6. Have a deeper devotional life.
7. Plan to spend at least a solid hour in study per day.
8. Spend more (lots more time) in prayer.
9. Read the Conflict of the Ages series (Patriarchs & Prophets, Prophets & Kings, Desire of Ages, Acts of the Apostles, The Great Controversy)
10. Study all the fundamental beliefs of the church by knowing scripture that back them all up.
------
These are just examples of ideas for spiritual growth that is in my head. Choose a few and decide today to spend more time with Christ in 2014!
