Saying Goodbye to 2016 and Hello to 2017

Friends, family, it's December!
And it's already mid-December! That means Christmas is around the corner, and so is the new year! This year, like all years, have been filled with blessings, high points and low ones.

This year was a big year for me: got married to my very best friend (and I can truly testify, marriage is a true, TRUE blessing when you allow The LORD to pick for you!), moved upstate to COLD country, forged new relationships with couples and families in our new congregations and the list goes on.

Looking back on the last 12 months can be depressing and daunting to many, but I can assure you, if you are still alive and breathing, that is still something to be thankful about!

The year is not done yet! There are still a few more days to go. Join me in grabbing the final days of 2016 by the horns and making them count! Let's get ready to welcome 2017 with open arms and eager spirits!

Ole Year's Night; 12/31/2014

Another year is saying goodbye,
and a new year is saying hello.

There have been many trials, tribulations, triumphs and tests
In 2014.
I hope and pray that this year was filled with blessings and accomplishments
for you all.

It has been an amazing year
Of love,
Of blessings,
Of tribulations,
And tears.
Of revivals with The LORD
Of family/friends-togetherness
Of outreach
And so on, and so on...

Prayerfully look forward
to 2015
We do not know what the year will bring
So just take it all; a day at a time
abiding in and with The LORD

Yes this year will bring triumphs
But there may be times we may fall;
But no matter what,
Keep...
Getting....
Up..............

God bless you all!
Happy New Year and Keep pressing on.

Happy 2014!

Happy new year everyone!!!

A new year means different things to different individuals. It means new hopes, new dreams, perhaps a new career, new learning experiences, new lifestyle changes, new (fill in the blank with whatever else there is). As we draw closer to the LORD's Second Coming, let's make sure some of our resolutions that are spiritually minded. This year, why not endeavor to:

1. Read the Bible in a year.

2. Study the four gospels.

3. Create simple bible studies to share with others.

4. Memorize a book of the Bible (or two!).

5. Spend more time in Bible Study.

6. Have a deeper devotional life.

7. Plan to spend at least a solid hour in study per day.

8. Spend more (lots more time) in prayer.

9. Read the Conflict of the Ages series (Patriarchs & Prophets, Prophets & Kings, Desire of Ages, Acts of the Apostles, The Great Controversy)

10. Study all the fundamental beliefs of the church by knowing scripture that back them all up.

 ------

These are just examples of ideas for spiritual growth that is in my head. Choose a few and decide today to spend more time with Christ in 2014!
